Anchor Points

All vehicles to accommodate a child restraint require having an anchorage point in your vehicle.
Under the Australian Design Rule 34 (ADR34), anchorage point needed to be in vehicles from

• Passenger Cars 1st July 1976
• Station Wagons and Hatch Backs 1st January 1977
• Vans up to 9 Adults 1st January 1986
• Vans up to 12 Adults 1st January 1987
• 4 Wheel Drives 1st July 1990

This does not include an imported vehicle which requires anchorage point to be established in most vehicles, prior to the vehicle being registered.

Some vehicles on the 3rd row do not cater for the larger families hence the vehicle has no 3rd row anchorage points. Most vehicles can have the anchorage points established in the vehicle using different devices that we can establish into your vehicle.

Some Space Cabs and Dual Cabs do not have anchorage points as the Australian Design Standards do not require them to be established. We have devices that can accommodate these situations to allow you to carry your child safely in your vehicle.
