Q : Can i Install a Anchor Point for a Child Restraint in a Toyota Hilux "Xtra Cab"

A : Toyota Australia has advided that Toyota Hilux Extra Cab (Xtra Cab) is not suitable for a child restraint, even though rear seats and seat belts are fitted. As a result child restraints must not be fitted in this model of vehicle. The owners manual also states; Do Not install a child restraint system on the rear seats. These seats are not designed to hold a child restraint system.
